The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms is committed to protecting your privacy. Personal information, such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, and donation history, is stored securely by the Justice Centre. We maintain appropriate physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or loss.

How we collect information
The Justice Centre receives personal information through our website, emails sent to us, direct mail, and referrals from existing supporters. In most instances, personal information is provided voluntarily, and then used to send or provide updates, information, and appeals on the Centre's court actions, projects, studies and reports. This information is not used for any other purposes. Information obtained by Centre without the consent of the holder has been acquired through referral or through a publicly available source, such as online directories.

Sharing your information
The Justice Centre does not, under any circumstances, sell, exchange, or give away personal information that we have collected from you. We may share aggregate information about our supporter base, stripped of any personally identifiable information, with third parties to comply with reporting obligations. We also provide personal information to trusted third-party service providers on a strictly confidential and secure basis solely to carry out services on our behalf, such as distributing emails, quarterly newsletters, and similar communications. These service providers are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

The Justice Centre collects information for purposes of providing services and information to our supporters and potential supporters. The Justice Centre retains this information until you request to be removed from the Centre's database. Information collected pursuant to donations or event registrations is retained as long as required by the Canadian Customs and Revenue Agency for tax and audit purposes.

Access to personal information is restricted to authorized Justice Centre employees, contractors, and agents who require it to perform their duties.

The Justice Centre regularly organizes petition and pre-written letter campaigns. For petitions, your information is presented to the designated politician, public official, or other decision-maker to whom the petition is addressed. For pre-written letter campaigns, your information is used to send the letter to the intended recipient on your behalf. Participants may also receive occasional updates from the Justice Centre about its work and related campaigns and can unsubscribe at any time.
